Early Years welcomes about 150 students aged 1 to 5 years, divided into 5 classes including a nursery for less than two years.

The Early Years campus is a friendly and beautiful environment for children to start their education. The Campus accommodates children from 1 to 5 yrs; Crèche to Grand Section in the French programme, Nursery to Grade 1 in the Green School (English Programme). The two programmes are self-contained but run alongside each other with various shared activities throughout the school year, which allows children to become nearly bilingual.

A spacious, green, play area enables the 150 children to run around and enjoy the outdoors during recreation. Climbing equipment, swings, sand box and sit on toys offer further opportunities for gross motor development and valuable social skills are learnt in this informal environment. An enthusiastic team of international teachers seek to provide a solid start to literacy and numeracy skills for all children whilst fostering a love of learning and spirit of inquiry.

Arc-en-Ciel International School is the only school in Togo officially authorised to teach the International Baccalaureate (IB)  Primary Years Programme (PYP), having received accreditation in 2016. Units of Inquiry are an integral aspect of the PYP. Each year students undertake 6 Units of Inquiry that enable them to delve deeply into subjects and explore the world around them.

Underpinning the IB programme is the Learner Profile. The IB learner profile is consciously value-laden, for this kind of learning is what the IB supports, and is the embodiment of the IB’s philosophy of international education. Arc-en-Ciel International School set aside time each week to address aspects related to the Learner Profile, as well as PYP skills and attitudes, in their Global Citizenship programme.

The three campuses of Arc-en-Ciel International School are located in the Kodjoviakopé quartier, not far from the city centre of Lomé, the capital of Togo. The three campuses are located close to each other (see Google Map below). It is possible to travel
easily between the three campuses and is convenient for parents who have children at two more of the sites.
