3) International Radio Day

Excursion of year 5 and 6 students to Radio Lome.
That day, the pupils would decide on what to say about and read the news, they would assist the journalists in thier various program of the day "dedication..."pour demain les enfants"...The BI year 11 students also took part into this trip.

MARCH 2007

1) MARCH 2007 - Trip to OUIDAH in Benin with year 8 students

Themes : on the Slaves' track
-Arrived at OUIDAH
-The students walk the path from OUIDAH to the sea, halting at every statue erected to the memory of the slaves who went through this way.
-Visit of the memorial to the dead slaves.
-Arrival to the beach.
-Intense emotion when reaching the "No return" door.
-Picnic on the beach.
-Back to OUIDAH; visit of the pythons reserve.

 

NOVEMBER- DECEMBER 2007

3) Relaxation trip to the lake for High school students


-Trip aiming at developing more brotherhood, sharing and love between students as well as sense of cohesion between the various classes.

30th JANUARY 2008

1) Visit of the port

Visit of the ship of the US Army
Year 12
Arrival at the port in the morning;
-After a few minutes cheking our identities, we are allowed to visit the ship, guided by Dr Washington
-The HSV2 is a former ferry, designed to the transportation of affluent passengers with their cars and turned into a warship in 2005;
-Visit of the various departements, among which the piloting post which was very impressive, the canteen, the large library, the motor room, the deck and the helicopter landing runway that can take several helicopters;
-Explanation to the students on the operating of the ship and the various ranks in the US Marine.

 

8th FEBRUARY 2008

Visit to CEET
Year 9
On that day the students were able to see, within the framework of their program of physics, the following installations:
-The two generators of 20Mwatts each;
-A step-up transformer MV/HV 5000V/20000V;
-The electric Energy Distribution Room for Togo and more specifically for Lome.
This room is fully controlled by computers;
-A conversion pole HV/LV 20000V/220V permitting the dispatching of electricity to all Users;

The visit was rich in lessons and permitted the students to see the relation between the theory in books and the reality on location.
